We handle every stage of Carbon Reduction Plan production — data collection, carbon calculation, narrative drafting, sign-off support, and publication — so your team spends minimal time on process and gets a compliant, credible plan at the end.
Data collection & energy audit
We collect all energy and emissions data required for your plan — utility bills, fleet data, travel records, supply chain spend, and waste figures. For Tier 2 plans, we also gather Scope 3 category data across all relevant upstream and downstream value chain activities. A simple data request template is issued to your team — we handle all processing and verification.
Carbon footprint calculation — GHG Protocol
We calculate your organisation's full carbon footprint using GHG Protocol methodology and DEFRA conversion factors — producing a verified baseline covering Scope 1, Scope 2 (both market-based and location-based), and Scope 3 categories. All calculations are documented and auditable, with data sources referenced throughout.
Target setting & reduction roadmap
Working from your verified baseline, we set science-based reduction targets aligned to a 1.5°C pathway — with interim milestones for 2025, 2030, and 2040, and a net zero commitment for 2050. For Tier 2 plans, a costed implementation programme identifies the specific measures, investments, and supply chain actions required to achieve each milestone.
Plan drafting & narrative writing
We draft the full Carbon Reduction Plan — including all PPN 06/21 mandatory sections, environmental management measures, director commitment statement, and (for Tier 2) the full Scope 3 narrative and supply chain engagement approach. The plan is written in clear, professional language and formatted for publication on your website and submission to contracting authorities.
Sign-off, verification & publication
We manage the sign-off process with your senior director — providing a pre-formatted signature block and supporting notes. Third-party verification is arranged where required.
