Founder & Leadership
Meet our founder

Jonathan Whittaker
B.Sc (Hons) · NDEA · OCDEA · CIOB · PAS 2035 Retrofit Coordinator
"As the retrofit market grows so does the opportunity in blended areas of surveying, financial modelling and cost saving measures. We are eager to work with like-minded businesses in areas of funding, installation, coordination, project management and testing."
Jonathan started working in the ECO industry in 2014 on the ECO1 scheme — the first iteration of the current government-backed programme. He has worked across many schemes and related areas: stock condition surveying, claims and disrepair, commercial energy, new build compliance, and testing.
His practice — Yield Climate Ltd t/a RetrofitScore & ViewPointEnergy — represents the largest and most successful local authority consortium scheme in the UK. Over the past four years the programme has secured over £50 million in funding and delivered more than 15,000 measures across 6,000 properties across Lancashire.
Prior to the ECO industry, Jonathan gained experience in the Actuarial Field in applied finance — giving him a unique commercial perspective on the retrofit market. In his spare time Jonathan likes to play golf, travel, and keeps a keen eye on financial markets.
Meet the Team
The people who make
RetrofitScore work
RetrofitScore was founded in 2017 with one goal: to make a measurable difference to the UK's carbon emissions — one home, one building, one community at a time.
"As the retrofit market grows so does the opportunity in blended areas of surveying, financial modelling and cost saving measures. We are eager to work with like-minded businesses in funding, installation, coordination, project management and testing."

Meet the Team
The expertise behind every programme
Our team brings together decades of combined experience across retrofit coordination, energy assessment, commercial decarbonisation, and carbon markets — all working under one roof.

Retrofit Coordinator · Energy Assessor · DEA
Ewa Starzec
Retrofit Academy · British Institute of Interior Design
Originally from Poland, Ewa moved to the UK in 2013. She graduated in 2024 from the Retrofit Academy in Retrofit Coordination & Risk Management. She has coordinated across ECO4, GBIS, SHDF Wave 2.1/2.2, HUG 1, HUG 2, and Warm Homes Local Grant. She also works as an interior designer representing clients across Europe, London, and the Middle East.

Retrofit Coordinators
Coordination Team
PAS 2035:2023 certified throughout
Our PAS 2035-certified coordination team manages the full delivery lifecycle on every scheme — assessment, design, installation oversight, site inspections, TrustMark lodgement, and funder submissions. Every Retrofit Coordinator holds current PAS 2035 certification.

Energy Assessors
Assessment Team
BSRIA · BSI · PAS 2035 trained
Technically trained to BSRIA and BSI standards — on-site for every property survey. Our assessors produce fully compliant Medium-Term Improvement Plans (MTIPs) and SAP assessments, confirming viable measures and installation sequence for every property.

Retrofit Designers
Design Team
PAS 2035 Retrofit Designer certified
In-house retrofit designers producing measure-specific specifications — insulation systems, U-values, ventilation strategies, and thermal bridge detailing — for every property on every scheme. Fabric-first on every job before any heating or renewables are specified.

Project & Programme Managers
Programme Team
Multi-stakeholder programme delivery
Coordinating complex multi-partner delivery programmes — managing timelines, contractor liaison, funder reporting, and stakeholder communication. 15,000+ measures submitted without a single late or rejected batch across ECO4, SHDF, Salix, and Warm Homes.

Tenant Engagement Officers
Engagement Team
Vulnerability trained · Energy advice certified
Our tenant engagement officers handle every household from first door knock to post-install handover and energy advice. Trained in vulnerability identification, they ensure every resident feels supported and informed throughout the full retrofit process.

Fabric-first, always
We never install a heating system before insulation is confirmed. Fabric-first is how we protect every resident's long-term bills.
Standards are non-negotiable
PAS 2035, PAS 2030, TrustMark, MCS — every measure, every property, every time. No exceptions.
Residents first
Behind every measure is a person. Our engagement teams are trained to put residents first at every single stage.
Delivery that proves itself
15,000+ measures. Zero late submissions. We don't talk about capability — we demonstrate it through delivery.
